Letter H

This week we learned about the letter Hh. We made "hamburgers" and we brought in items that begin with "h" for show and tell!

Student of the Month/ Mrs. Swords Returns

Congratulations to Kayla for being chosen as our Student of the Month for September!! Way to go Kayla!!!!!

I will be returning to school on Monday. I would like to thank Mrs. Hall and Mrs. Teems for doing such a wonderful job with the kids. It have enjoyed my time at home with Tripp. It was nice to not have to worry about my students because I knew I left them in great hands! I would also like to thank all of my students' families. I really appreciate how understanding and supporting all of you have been. I look forward to meeting all of you in the near future!

I will be able to keep our website and blog updated once I return to school. I apologize for not keeping it updated while I was away but I have a very slow computer at home!!

Second Week/ Student of the Month

Hello everyone! Mrs. Teems said the second week of school went GREAT! Keep up the good work! I will be coming by in the next couple of weeks to meet all of my wonderful students that I keep hearing about!!

Congratulations to Grayson for being chosen as the Student of the Month for August. He is a hard worker, good friend to his classmates, and very respectful to his teachers. Way to go GRAYSON!!!!

Open House/ First Day of School

Hello everyone! I am so sorry that I was not able to meet all of you at Open House. Mrs. Teems had such wonderful things to say about everyone and I look forward to meeting you when I return from maternity leave in October.

I spoke to Mrs. Teems and she said the first day of school went very smoothly. The day was mostly spent learning classroom rules and procedures. Mrs. Hall and Mrs. Teems were both amazed at how well the students walk in the hallway! During the class meeting the boys and girls all practiced giving compliments. Mrs. Teems said most of the compliments were about how much the love their family! :) After reading The Kissing Hand, the boys and girls did a few worksheets and took home a picture of a hand that saying "I love you" in sign language. !! I am very proud of all of the students for having such an AWESOME first day of Kindergarten!!

Tripp is doing wonderful and is at home with us!! He was a few weeks early so he had to be on oxygen for a day but now he is doing fantastic! Here are a couple of pictures of my handsome little fella!!
